Zovo Bank Insurance Check
Check a US bank's FDIC status and estimate how much of your deposits are insured.
Look up FDIC-insured banks by name, city or certificate number, read their merger and failure history, and estimate insured and uninsured deposits across ownership categories, with a PDF worksheet and CSV.
What it does
- FDIC bank lookup by name, city and state, or certificate number
- Merger, failure and name-change history from FDIC records
- Deposit insurance estimate per bank, owner and ownership category, including the 2024 trust rule
- PDF coverage worksheet and CSV downloads
Try asking
“Is Wells Fargo FDIC insured? Show its FDIC certificate and regulator”
“I have $300,000 in savings and a $400,000 joint account with my spouse at cert 3511. How much is insured?”
Limitations
- Coverage results are estimates, not FDIC determinations; confirm with FDIC EDIE.
- Covers US FDIC-insured banks and savings institutions; credit unions (NCUA) are not covered.
- Employee benefit plan and government accounts are listed but not estimated.
- Bank data comes from the FDIC BankFind Suite API and can lag recent changes by days.
